i fully expect we will be wearing awesome armored fully computerized battle suits within 10-20 years. i fucking can’t wait. check out these three news items all discovered on the same day:
Stretchable Silicon: circuits printed on silicon ribbons that can be bonded to rubber.
Military Exoskeleton Prototype: Hydraulic leg exoskeletons that make carrying 100 pounds feel like you’re carrying 5. By the time they are a finished product, creators expect they will handle up to 200 pounds.
Nano Armor: carbon-bucky-ball based material is 5x stronger than steel and can withstand much larger impacts.

tiny (thought) bubbles- finderic: i played with a nook. even if the software improves significantly, i'm too spoiled by the super slim profile of my Kindle 2 to switch.
