slippery slope

i gave in. after a month of vascillating i finally bought my first song at the itunes music store. i couldn’t help it. this very bad song has been caught in my head, and since it’s new and totally catchy i thought it would be the perfect way to check out the place. the only problem is once you buy one track, then you realize how easy it is to buy something. and then you start thinking about the cds you’ve been meaning to buy, and you find one, and while you’re listening to samples you’re looking at the “others also bought” section and you have to check out all those, and then there’s so much you want that you give in and the next thing you know you’ve bought 2 full albums and 3 more singles and you’re like “shit, i better stop before i blow a huge chunk of change.” that thing just works way too well. despite ebooks and amazon, i need to actually go into stores to buy books, but i’m not sure i really need to for music anymore.
